What is the going rate for a professional nanny?
At Little Blessings Nanny Agency, we represent highly experienced nannies, each bringing a refined blend of professionalism, education, and specialized childcare expertise. All candidates have a minimum of five years of professional experience.
Compensation is thoughtfully tailored based on each nanny’s qualifications, your family’s unique needs, and the level of care required. In the Los Angeles area, professional live-out nanny rates typically begin at $30–$35 per hour, with premium placements reflecting higher rates.
As the employer, you are responsible for all household employment obligations, including payroll, taxes, insurance, and workers’ compensation.
What does this service cost?
At Little Blessings Nanny Agency, we are committed to providing a seamless, high-quality placement experience with transparent and competitive pricing.
Placement Fee: 10% of the nanny’s annual gross salary
This fee is due once you extend an offer to a nanny we have presented and the candidate accepts. It includes the coordination and drafting of a comprehensive work agreement to support a strong and successful placement.
Additionally, this fee covers the cost of the nanny’s TrustLine application, should they not already be registered.
What does your vetting procedure include?
Once we understand your family’s needs and the specifics of the role, we begin a targeted search using our database of prescreened nannies and trusted local network. When needed, we expand the search, review applications, conduct virtual interviews, and speak directly with references to identify strong potential matches. We then create and present detailed nanny profiles for your review.
From there, we coordinate virtual interviews on your behalf. If you choose to move forward after an interview, we extend an invitation for a one-day trial with your family. Upon mutual interest, we verify TrustLine registration and/or complete a background screening through ClearChecks.
Please note that background screenings are billed separately per candidate, starting at $39.99 depending on the selected package.
If both parties wish to proceed after the trial, we assist in preparing a formal employment agreement for mutual review and approval prior to the nanny’s start date. We remain available throughout the entire process to ensure a smooth and supported placement experience.
